Woodland tennis defeats Rome


The Woodland girls and boys tennis teams defeated visiting Rome Tuesday evening. The Lady Cats swept both doubles lines to win 3-2 and the boys swept all lines to win 5-0.




 


WOODLAND GIRLS 3, ROME 2

Singles

Line 1 — Becky Wesley lost 4-6, 2-6

Line 2 — Kayla Gales won 6-1, 7-5

Line 3 — Abby Cates lost 3-6, 2-6


Doubles

Line 1 — Eryn Gentry / Emma Savage won 6-1, 7-5

Line 2 — Monterya Morrow / Abby Spaulding won 6-4, 6-3




WOODLAND BOYS 5, ROME 0

Singles

Line 1 — Bryce VanOrder won 6-1, 6-1

Line 2 — Connor Gunnell won 6-2, 6-2

Line 3 — Adam Pirkle won 6-4, 3-6, 6-1


Doubles

Line 1 — Garrett Wesley / Mason Tucker won 6-0, 6-2

Line 2 — Ian VanOrder / Keagan Gallagher won 6-1, 7-5 In other action, the Cass girls and boys dropped matches with East Paulding. EAST PAULDING GIRLS 3, CASS 2

Line 1 — Payton Tatusko lost 6-1, 6-1

Line 2 — Carli Rediger won 6-4, 6-4

Line 3 — McKenley King won 4-6, 6-4, 10-3

Doubles

Line 1 — Sydney Coppola / Laya Hall lost 6-3, 6-1

Line 2 — Adrianna Segura / Aven Rafferty lost 6-1, 6-1 EAST PAULDING BOYS 3, CASS 0 East Paulding won all three singles lines.
