Woodland softball drops two games Friday night

Woodland softball dropped a par of non-region games Friday suffering a 6-4 loss at Rockmart and a 13-4 decision to Hillgrove.

Elizabeth Hartsfield had three hits including a home run and three RBIs in the loss to the Yellow Jackets. Alana Carnes added two hits.

Haley Collum (5 IP, 7R, 1ER, 11H, 1BB, 3K) was the pitcher of record for the Wildcats.

Carnes then had three hits — all doubles — with one RBI in the loss to Hillgrove.

Peyton Dorn (4 IP, 8R, 1ER, 7H, 2BB, 2K) and Ashlynn Baines (1 IP, 5R, 4ER, 5H, 1BB) worked in the circle for Woodland against the Hawks.

The Lady Cats (11-6, 4-3) return to Region 7-5A action Tuesday at Cartersville.
