Tigers third, Wildcats fifth at annual Whoville Swimming Invitational

The Adairsville High School swimming team placed third, and Woodland was fifth this past Saturday at the 14-team Whoville Invitational hosted by the Tigers.
Greenbrier won the meet with an overall total of 709.5 points. McIntosh (581), Adairsville (557), Rome (542), and Woodland (490.5) rounded out the top five.
Adairsville’s boys had the highest point total, edging McIntosh 397-343.5. Woodland’s girls finished second behind Greenbrier in the women’s point totals.
Three local relay teams earned GHSA State Meet qualifying times. The Adairsville boys 400-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle relay teams and the Woodland boys 200-yard freestyle relay team.
