Tigers come up short at Calhoun


The Adairsville Tigers came up just short Wednesday night at Calhoun falling to the host Yellow Jackets 66-62 in non-region action, In a game where neither team pulled away, Adairsville led 17-15 after one quarter. The two teams were tied at 34-all at halftime and Calhoun took a 47-46 lead into the final eight minutes.

Peyton Law led Calhoun (4-3) with 20 points. Jaylan Harris finished with 15 and Emaree Winston scored 11 for the Yellow Jackets. T.J. Printup scored 19 points to lead the Tigers. Hayden Poarch also reached double figures with 15. Tre Mitchell (9), Tre Winter (8), Jordan Carson (7), and Zac Postell (4) rounded out the Adairsville score sheet.

The Tigers (5-3) will look to snap their three game skid next Tuesday when they host Johnson-Gainesville in the first round of the Adairsville Christmas Clash.
