The Adairsville Tigers rattled off ten hits and scored 13 runs in the bottom of the first inning Thursday night in a 13-0 home rout of Sonoraville.


The Tigers totaled fourteen hits in the game, and three Adairsville pitchers limited the Phoenix to three hits in the five-inning contest.


Jack Nelson made the pitching start for the Tigers and allowed two hits and three walks. He fanned five and was credited with the win. McCayden Hufstetler and Hudson Parr worked one scoreless inning each and struck out one.


Brody Varner (double, two RBI) and Harrison Cole (double, two RBI) led Adairsville hitters with three. Peyton Bowen (double, three RBI), Isaac Burnett (two doubles, two RBI), and Ethan Long contributed two hits. Evan Hardin (two RBI) and Kaiden Coker added one hit.


The loss left Sonoraville with a 2-7 record.


Adairsville (5-2) hosts Calhoun on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the first game of a three-game Region 7-AAA series.
