Local swim teams compete at Northwest Georgia Regional Meet
The local high school swim teams competed Friday and Saturday at the Northwest Georgia Regions Meet at the Calhoun Aquatic Center. Adairsville finished seventh for the best combined finish among the local teams. Woodland placed 13th, Cartersville 14th, and Cass was 20th in the 22 team competition that was won by Calhoun. Blessed Trinity placed second with Creekview, Jefferson, and North Paulding rounding out the top five teams in combined scores for girls and boys. The Adairsville girls were sixth of 21 teams in the girls events. Cartersville was ninth and Woodland 12th. The Tigers also had the best finish among local teams in the boys events with a ninth place finish. Woodland was 12th and the Cass boys were 18th. The best local individual performances included:
