Lady Eagles drop regular season finale at Gordon Central

The Excel Christian Academy girls basketball team suffered a 61-27 non-region loss Monday night at Gordon Central in Calhoun.

The host Lady Warriors led 35-17 by halftime and added to their advantage in the second half.

Kinsleigh Massengil and Mashell McFadden led Gordon Central in scoring with 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Chae Vieira scored 16 points for the Lady Eagles. Carolina Otalora added four.

Gordon Central improved to 5-18.

Excel Christian (4-15, 0-4) plays Oakwood Christian Academy Tuesday evening in the first round of the GAPPS Region 1-IA tournament hosted by Unity Christian in Rome.
