Lady Colonels split four volleyball matches Saturday at Coosa Invitational
Cass volleyball finished 2-2 Saturday in four matches played at the Coosa Invitational in Floyd County.
The Colonels took a pair of straight set wins over Coosa and Rockmart but lost to Villa Rica in straight sets and LaFayette in a three set battle.
Cass defeated Coosa 25-22, 25-14 and topped Rockmart 25-16, 25-21.
The Lady Colonels lost the first set with LaFayette 25-23, won the second set 25-16, but fell in a deciding third set 15-3. They also dropped a 25-10, 25-8 decision to Villa Rica.
Jada Zimmerman led the Cass attackers with nine kills on the day. Harlee Davis and Tamira Feanny finished with six each. Alondra Burgos had four kills and Carlee Turner added three.
Carson Brannon and Davis led the Colonels with nine and eight services aces, respectively.
Brannon produced 28 assists.
Cass (5-3) gets a non-region rematch at LaFayette Tuesday at 5 p.m. where the Colonels will also play Armuchee.
