GHC softball wins at Andrew College

The Chargers won both games of a doubleheader at Andrew College Wednesday to complete a four-game season sweep of the Tigers.


Georgia Highlands won 18-0 and 15-0 in Cuthbert.


Maci Andrews and Grace Kendrick completed the pitching duties. Both wins were in five innings. Andrews tossed a one-hitter with two walks and four strikeouts in the opener. Kendrick scattered four hits and one walk with one strikeout in the second game.


Emmalee Freeman and Ally Graden led the Chargers’ offense with six hits. Freeman had a home run, four doubles, and six RBI. Graden had three doubles and four RBI.


Ahmani Green (home run, three RBI), Emma Darrow (triple, RBI), Abbi Hall (RBI), and Mary Catherine Kimball contributed three hits in the doubleheader.


Hailey Love (two doubles, four RBI), Haylee Dishmon (three RBI), and Cayden Warren (RBI) had two hits. Faith Gauthier (RBI), Abbey Yates, Raeghan Thompson, and Andrews (sac fly, triple, three RBI) added one hit.


Georgia Highlands (28-12, 9-3 GCAA) hosts a doubleheader with Gordon State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
