GACA recognizes local high school soccer athletes

The Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA) recently released its 2025 pre-season all-state recognition, including five local athletes.

Junior forward/striker Annabelle Williams (Cartersville) and sophomore forward/striker Ansley Burns (Woodland) were named Girls’ Pre-Season Class 4A First Team selections.

Senior midfielder Melvin Velasquez (Cass) was also named Boys’ Pre-Season Class 4A First Team.

Senior forward/striker LIbby Morgan (Woodland) and junior midfielder Mallory Nicklas (Cartersville) were recognized as Girls’ Pre-Season Honorable Mention.
