Donegan’s first goal came ten minutes later off a corner kick by Kendyl Anderson and her second goal was off a throw in by Devondria Johnson in the game’s 62nd minute. “We dominated possession in the game,” said Cartersville coach Chad Murray. “We had possession about 80 percent of the game in the attacking third. Their (Dawson County) goal was on a defensive mistake and it put us behind 1-0 at halftime. We challenged the girls at the break to score four goals and we almost got it. We played smart and showed patience in the second half and it led to goals. We have some things to work on, but I’m very proud of the girls.” DALTON 8, CASS GIRLS 0
