Excel Christian improves to 2-0

The Excel Christian Academy boys improved to 2-0 on the season Tuesday night with an 85-69 win at home over Fideles Christian.
The Eagles led 21-16 after one quarter and 51-27 at halftime. Fideles narrowed the margin to t65-49 by the end of the third quarter, but Excel held on for a 16-point victory.
Evan Chappell led ECA with 25 points. Kaiyu Huffman scored 13 and TJ Hubert finished with ten. Carter May added nine points for the Eagles.
Xander Lipinski paced the Rangers (0-1) with 20 points. Eli Shadburn scored 16.
Excel plays at Cornerstone Prep Academy on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
