Eagles collect road win at Fideles Christian

The Excel Christian Academy boys basketball team defeated Fideles Christian 69-54 Thursday night in a non-region game played at Greater Heights Baptist Church in Cumming.
The host Rangers kept pace through most of the first half before the Eagles took control of the game in the second half.
Excel Christian led 18-12 after one quarter and 29-24 at the intermission before building a 49-35 lead by the end of the third quarter.
Kaiyu Huffman led three Eagles in double-figures with 17 points. Kamarion Profit scored 15 and Evan Chappell had 14 points. Carter May added nine points for ECA.
Fideles Christian (6-15) was led by Xander Lipinski’s 28 points.
Excel Christian (12-7) hosts Murray County on Saturday at 4 p.m.
