Colonels wreck Ramblers, 8-4

The Cass Colonels built a 6-1 lead in the fourth inning and led 8-1 in the middle of the sixth Tuesday night en route to an 8-4 road victory at the LaFayette Ramblers.
Chase Tatum (3.1 IP, 1ER, 1H, 3BB, 4K) made the pitching start for Cass and worked into the fourth inning to collect the win. Nic Wright (1.2 IP, 2ER, 2H, 1BB, 3K), Jay Sheldon (1 IP, 1R, 0ER, 1H, 1K), and Dustin Wallin (1 IP, 0R, 1H, 1K) pitched in relief for the Colonels.
Hunter Lovett had two doubles and two RBI for the Cass offense. Wallin (double, three RBI), Joshua Churchwell (RBI), Trenton Elario, Zach Stiles, Sheldon, Tatum, and Wright added one hit.
The Ramblers dropped to a 4-2 record.
Cass (3-3) hosts Rome for a doubleheader on Wednesday starting at 5 p.m.
