Chargers' men split conference games on weekend road trip

The Georgia Highlands College men’s basketball team split road conference games Saturday and Sunday. The Chargers won Saturday at Andrew College 90-79, but lost Sunday at Albany Tech 78-71.
GHC and Andrew College were knotted at 41-all at the intermission before the Chargers outscored the Tigers 49-38 in the second half.
In Sunday’s loss at Albany Tech, the Titans led 38-33 at halftime and held off Georgia Highlands in the second half for a seven-point win.
Albany Tech moved to 12-10 on the season and 7-2 in Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association play. Andrew College is now 7-17 overall and 1-9 in the conference.
Georgia Highlands (14-9, 6-5 GCAA) hosts Central Georgia Tech on Wednesday night and Albany Tech on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers play their home games at the Rome campus.
