Cass teams swept at Dalton; Woodland topped by Cedartown

Local teams dropped region games on Tuesday night.
Note: The Cartersville games scheduled for Tuesday night at Southeast Whitfield were postponed.
DALTON 85, CASS GIRLS 42
The eighth-ranked Dalton Lady Catamounts rolled to a 46-23 advantage by halftime and beat visiting Cass Tuesday night, 85-42.
Bri Camp poured in 30 points to lead Dalton. Lexi Gonzalez and Jolie Wingfield added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
KK Evans scored 16 points for the Lady Colonels. Darianna Sosa added nine.
Dalton improved to 19-3 overall and 11-1 in Region 7-4A.
Cass (10-12, 7-5) hosts Allatoona for a region game on Friday at 6 p.m.
DALTON 46, CASS BOYS 42
The host Catamounts held off a strong challenge from the Colonels Tuesday night and won a defensive tussle, 46-42.
Dalton led 8-7 after one quarter, but Cass held a 21-20 lead at halftime. The Catamounts moved back into the lead by the end of the third quarter, 33-30, and held off the Colonels in the final eight minutes.
Cole Laubscher led Dalton with 12 points. Jamichael Croft finished with 11 points, and CJ Weaver added 10 for the Catamounts (13-9, 10-2).
Dylan Miller paced Cass with 13 points. Xavier Lowe scored 11 points, and Parnel Gamble added six.
Cass (9-13, 5-7) hosts region-leading Allatoona on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
CEDARTOWN 64, WOODLAND BOYS 50
Holding a 31-28 lead at halftime, the visiting Cedartown Bulldogs extended their advantage to 12 points by the end of the third quarter (53-41) and secured a victory at Woodland on Tuesday night, finishing with a score of 64-50.
Quinlan Cothran scored 28 points to lead the Bulldogs (12-10, 5-6). Zane Diamond Pasley added 10 points.
Bryson Van Tonder paced Woodland with 15 points. Isaiah Livsey followed with 13 points, and Amir Heath added six for the Wildcats.
Woodland (5-18, 1-11) hosts Cartersville on Friday at 8 p.m.
CEDARTOWN 46, WOODLAND GIRLS 22
The Cedartown Lady Bulldogs won at Woodland Tuesday night, 46-22, in Region 7-4A action.
Cedartown improved to 8-14 overall and 5-6 in region play.
Woodland (1-23, 1-11) hosts Cartersville on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
