Cass swimmers finish second at Rome quad meet

The Cass High School swim team finished runner-up to Rome at a Wolves’ home quad meet Thursday night.

Rome won the meet with 237 points. Cass was second with 101, followed by Model (48) and Armuchee (13).

Adyson Doolittle of Cass won the girls’ 200-yard individual medley at 3:12.07.

Two other Cass individuals had runner-up finishes. Anniston Duckett was second in the girls’ 100-yard butterfly (1:17.71), and Marta Trezza was second in the girls’ 100-yard freestyle (1:02.50).

Additionally, the all-freshman girls’ 200-yard freestyle relay team of Lily Fekete, Jersi Best, Rylee Bullock, and Willow White finished second in 1:53.27.

The Colonels will host Coahulla Creek and Southeast Whitfield on Tuesday at the Adairsville High School pool. The Bartow County Swim Championship will be held at Adairsville on Thursday.
