Cartersville tennis teams open season

The Cartersville High School tennis teams opened play this week by defeating Sequoyah on Tuesday and suffering narrow defeats to Darlington. The Cartersville results were as follows:

CARTERSVILLE GIRLS 3, SEQUOYAH 2

Singles

Line 1 — Chloie O'Banion won 6-4, 6-2

Line 2 — Chloe Bush won 6-2, 6-2

Line 3 — Bristol O'Banion lost 4-6, 7-5, 1-0

Doubles

Line 1 — Taryn Bradley/Haylee Harris lost 5-7, 1-6

Line 2 — Katherine Bowen/Tateum Mealer won 7-5, 2-6, 1-0
