Cartersville riflery team to host a first-round state playoff match

The Cartersville High School riflery team recently placed third in the Area 10 Championship Meet and earned the right to host a GHSA first-round playoff match on February 24. The Cartersville Rifles finished the regular season with an 11-3 record in head-to-head matches.

Lucy Evans and Maggie Sheffield were both named to the All-Area Team. Evans was the top shooter in all three positions in Area 10. She has also qualified as an individual for the State Championship Meet.
