A strong defensive effort helped Harrison to a 27-14 lead by halftime and the Hoyas matched Cartersville in the second half for a 50-37 non-region win Monday night at the Storm Center.

Jordan Howe and Will Smith led the Hoyas with 17 and 16 points, respectively.

“We struggled offensively,” said Canes’ head coach Mike Tobin. “Harrison played sound defense and they hurt us on the glass. I was pleased with our defensive effort in the fourth quarter.”
