The Cartersville Lady Canes gymnastics team hosted its final regular season meet of the 2025 season this past Saturday and placed fourth, competing against larger schools from across the state.

North Forsyth (104.900) won the five-team competition, followed by Camden County (99.000), Lambert (96.600), Cartersville (94.500), and Brooks County (7.900).

Emerie Elrod led Cartersville with a 9.15 on vault. Elrod also scored an 8.6 on floor exercise.

Sydney Jackson scored an 8.65 on the vault and 8.1 on the beam. Adalynn Weir contributed an 8.35 on the vault and an 8.0 on the floor. Laney Saunders scored an 8.25 on vault.

“This team continues to make us proud,” said Kimberly Mosteller, Cartersville’s head coach and meet director. “Our gymnasts train, compete, and represent Cartersville with pride. Hosting the final meet of the season was a privilege, and we’re thrilled with the strength our athletes showed against some of the state’s best.”

“I look forward to building on this year’s success as our gymnastics program continues to grow,” added Mosteller. “Emerie Elrod will represent Cartersville Gymnastics at the GHSA Gymnastics State Preliminary meet next week, competing in the vault.”
