Cartersville golfers win North Georgia Invitational

The Cartersville boys golf team won the eight-team North Georgia Invitational on Thursday.

The 36-hole event's opening round was held at Fields Ferry Golf Club in Calhoun on March 13. Thursday's final round was hosted at The Farm in Rocky Face.

Cartersville's 36-hole total was 591. Dalton finished second at 601, and Mill Creek placed third with a 636 total.

Senior Andrew Lutjens led the way for the Hurricanes with rounds of 70 and 74. Sophomore Bodie Brumlow (75-70), freshman Reid Henson (73-73), and freshman Ramsay Dunn (74-82) rounded out the counting scores for Cartersville.

The Canes' next event is the North Paulding Wolfpack Invitational, which will take place on Monday at Creekview Golf Club.
