Cartersville fourth at Bowdon Invitational

The Cartersville High gymnastics team finished fourth last Friday at the Bowden Invitational in Carrollton. The Hurricanes placed fourth with a team score of 93.425. Bremen won the invitational (107.025), followed by Bowdon (101.55) and Pike County (97.475).

Emerie Elrod led Cartersville with a third place vault score of 9.1. Other scoring contributors for the Lady Canes were Sydney Jackson, Laney Saunders, Adalynn Weir, Kyndal Shook, and Katy Grace Wolfe.

Cartersville is currently ranked in eighth place in the Class A-4A standings.

The next meet for the Hurricanes is at Lovett on March 31.
