Adairsville, Cass, and Woodland volleyball teams split Thursday tri-matches

Adairsville, Cass, and Woodland each split tri-matches in local volleyball action on Thursday night.


The Lady Tigers lost to Rome 21-25 and 14-25 but bounced back to defeat Gilmer 25-22, 21-25, and 15-6.


In the loss to Rome, Cara Harp had three kills, three assists, and five digs. Alexis Scott and Payton Hartline contributed three kills while Addie Pearson finished with ten digs.


In the win over Gilmer, Scott totaled ten kills. Ella Steward produced six kills and two blocks. Hartline tossed in six kills. Alexa Wynn contributed 18 assists and Pearson added 24 digs.


Cass' Carson Brannon

The Lady Colonels dropped a three-set decision to Armuchee 20-25, 25-23, and 8-15 but won at Rockmart 25-21, 19-25, and 15-8.


In the loss to Armuchee, Blayke Gardiner was credited with 16 blocks and seven kills. Carson Brannon contributed 16 digs, and Addison Reed distributed seven assists.


No individual stats were available from the win over Rockmart.


Woodland fell to Unity Christian School 12-25 and 21-25 but defeated Excel Christian 25-16 and 25-10.

Bella King serves for Woodland.

Katie Clowers led Woodland with nine aces, and Izzy Hazelwood had eight kills.


ECA also dropped their match with Unity Christian, 9-25 and 15-25.


Adairsville (11-18, 3-4) hosts Heritage-Catoosa and LaFayette on Tuesday at 5 p.m.


Cass (5-11, 1-4) and Woodland (3-19, 0-5) travel to Cedartown on Tuesday for a region tri-match starting at 5 p.m.


Excel (1-10, 1-6) visits Covenant Christian School on Monday at 6 p.m.
