Monday, September 16

CALHOUN COLTS 12, WOODLAND WILDCATS 0
Woodland’s Jayden Metcalf rushed for 15 yards. Gavin Johnson paced the Wildcats’ defense with nine tackles. Zachary Hawkins had six tackles and Rylan Brigman finished with five.
CALHOUN HURRICANES 8, ADAIRSVILLE TIGERS 7
Adairsville surrendered a one point lead late when stopped for a Calhoun safety in the final two minutes. The Tigers had recovered a fumble near the goal line. J’vian Ledbetter finished with 78 yards rushing including a five yard touchdown. Julius Jones ran in the Tigers’ one-point PAT. Levi McStotts had five tackles for Adairsville’s defense. Christopher Gardner contributed four tackles, and Brad Barton finished with three stops and a fumble recovery.

GORDON COUNTY 12, CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES (Ezell)
Matthew Streete had eight carries for 88 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Allan returned a kickoff for a touchdown for Gordon County. Riley Thomas finished with five tackles — four for loss. Reed Ezell was 5-for-6 passing for 93 yards for Cartersville. He added 15 rushing yards. Korbyn Jarrett made five total tackles for the Hurricanes — three for loss.
CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES (Parker) 33, PEPPERELL 13
Ja’Caiden Leonard made the most of five carries, rushing for 190 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught a 51-yard touchdown pass from Luke Parker. Parker was 3-for-5 for 101 yards and a score. He also finished with eight yards rushing on two attempts. Jordyn Woods contributed two carries for 55 yards and a touchdown. The Hurricanes (Parker) defense was led by Myles Mitchell and Woods. They both finished with six tackles. Two stops by Mitchell were for loss. Woods recovered a fumble.

CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES (Stepp) 36, CASS BLUE 13
Elijah Garrett rushed for 61 yards and touchdowns from 11-, 7-, and 31-yards to help lead Hurricanes (Stepp). Cameron Caldwell had a two-yard touchdown run and Gabriel Garrett scored on a one-yard plunge. Bowen Hardy had 64 yards passing including a 58-yard touchdown pass to Jack Mrockzo. Easton Stephens contributed 77 yards rushing. Caldwell had five tackles and Hunter Campbell four for Hurricanes (Stepp). Cass Blue scored on a 60-yard run by William Nachtsheim and a seven-yarder by Jaylen Thompson. Nachtsheim added a PAT run. The Cass Blue defense was led by six tackles by Calvin Simon and four each by Caden Ramirez and Nachtsheim.

CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES (King) 46, CASS SILVER 0 Dustin McConnell rushed for 186 yards and had four touchdown runs for Hurricanes (King). He scored on runs of 52, 39, 55, and 40 yards. McConnell also returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown and added a pair of PAT runs. Zachary Stiles scored on a 13-yard run and Cooper Reynolds added a pair of PAT runs. Andy Holstein, Matthew Cook, and McConnell paced the Hurricanes (King) defense with four tackles apiece. Nathaniel Jones finished with 45 yards rushing for Cass Silver. Ayden Brumbelow and Jeremiah Sturdivant collected five tackles each. Cole Davis made four tackles and Jones added two.
