10U at Old Cass HS (Grassdale Road)
CASS SILVER 12, WOODLAND WILDCATS 6
Devin Ware scored both Cass Silver touchdowns on runs of 12- and 25-yards. Brody Gayton scored for the Wildcats on a 12-yard run. Jeremiah Sturdivant had three tackles for Cass Silver. Connor Cobin finished with five tackles for Woodland.
8U at Dellinger Park
CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES (Canty) 24, ADAIRSVILLE TIGERS 12
Hurricanes (Canty) got a pair of 40-yard touchdown runs from Cayden Bagley and Luke Gaines; a long scoring run by Jeremy McDaniel; and a 12-yard scoring run by Jeremy McDaniel. Kelson Newman gave the Tigers an early lead with an 11-yard touchdown run and scored in the third quarter on an 18-yard run. Xavier Ramsey and Gaines were the top defensive players for Hurricanes (Canty). Gray Chancey had a big defensive night for Adairsville.
12U at Sonoraville Rec
GORDON COUNTY STORM 33, CASS COLONELS 14
The Cass scoring plays came on a pair of Paul Lanier to Kyron McClendon touchdown passes. The combo connected on a 53-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter and a 21-yarder in the fourth period. Lanier also added a 2-point conversion kick. Lanier finished wtih 110 yards passing and 91 rushing yards. McClendon had all 110 receiving yards and added 27 yards rushing. Cayden Aleman, Kenny Brown, Raymond Wilburn, Lanier, and McClendon were credited for their defensive efforts.
