Local baseball standouts at Adairsville, Cass, and Woodland named to All-Region teams
A total of fourteen baseball players at Adairsville, Cass, and Woodland were named to their respective All-Region teams this week by region coaches. Landon Ayers, B.J. Roper, and Trace Still of Adairsville were selected to the 35-member All-Region 6-AAA squad. Matt Shook of Cass was named to the All-Region 7-AAAAA First Team as an infielder. Fellow Colonels Bryson Markley and Jordan Gani were selected to the All-Region 7-AAAAA Second Team — Markley as an outfielder and Gani as a utility defender. Logan Nelson of Cass was an Honorable Mention selection at catcher.
Seven different Woodland players were recognized. Bailey Ward was an All Region 7-AAAAA Second Team selection as both a pitcher and a designated hitter. He was also an Honorable Mention catcher selection. Dallas Adams of the Wildcats was chosen as a All-Region Second Team infielder.
Honorble Mention selections went to Woodland’s Toby Queen as an outfielder; Marco Haro and Scotty Smith as infielders; and Koby Stansel and Peyton Posey as pitchers.
