Chargers' McPhee named GCAA Player of the Year


The Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association baseball coaches selected their All-Region teams, along with selecting the Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Gold Glove team for the 2019 season. Skylar McPhee of Georgia Highlands College was the recipient of the 2019 All Conference Player of the Year.


McPhee (photo) — an infielder and right hand pitcher — hit for a .435 batting average that included ten home runs and 46 RBI. He pitched just under ten innings in a spot role and finished the year with a .983 fielding percentage.


McPhee was also included on the All Conference First Team and the Gold Glove Team.

Malik Spratling — All Conference Second Team Outfielder (.296 BA; 13HR; 41 RBI)

Bryson Horne — All Conference Second Team Infielder (.376 BA; 6HR; 39 RBI)

Parker Orr — All Conference Second Team Catcher (.314 BA; 9HR; 29 RBI)
