Lady Cats drop region match; Lady Colonels blanked at North Paulding
The Woodland and Cass girls soccer teams lost road matchups Tuesday night. The Lady Cats dropped a Region 7-AAAAA contest at Paulding County while the Lady Colonels were blanked in a non-region game at Class 7A North Paulding, 9-0.
PAULDING COUNTY 5, WOODLAND 2
The Lady Patriots led 2-0 at halftime before pulling away in the second half for a 5-2 victory. Jordan Evans and Grace Webb scored the two Woodland goals as the Lady Cats fell to 2-12-1 for the season.
NORTH PAULDING 9, CASS 0
The Lady Colonels trailed by a single goal at halftime, but the host Wolfpack cruised in the second half to a 9-0 non-region victory. Cass (8-7-1) returns to the pitch Thursday at home against North Springs.
