Adairsville shutout at Calhoun
Calhoun sent 14 men to the plate and scored nine runs in the second inning Friday evening on the way to a 10-0 shutout of Adairsville in a Region 6-AAA game at Calhoun.
Starting pitcher Bryse Ingle (5 IP, 0R, 3H, 2BB, 7K) went the distance on the mound for the Class AAA eighth-ranked Yellow Jackets (15-4, 8-2).
B.J. Roper, Trace Still, and Logan Hunt had one hit each for the Tigers.
Levi Blackwell (1.2 IP, 9R, 5ER, 3H, 4BB, 3K) started on the mound and was tagged with the pitching loss for Adairsville. Wade Conduff (1.1 IP, 0R, 1H, 0BB, 3K) and Eli Agnew (1 IP, 1ER, 1H, 0BB, 1K) took the mound in relief. Adairsville (3-13, 2-8) hosts Haralson County Tuesday, North Murray Wednesday, and travels to Sonoraville Thursday with each game scheduled for 5:55 p.m.
