According to Laney, Longmore has encouraged and recruited other athletes within the school to join the team and shared his love of the sport with them. He carries a 3.45 GPA in Honors and AP classes with plans to go to trade school and pursue a career in aviation mechanics.
Daniel Patrick Nycum is the March Elite Athlete of the Month for Woodland High School.
A freshman member of the Wildcats’ golf team, Daniel has started the 2019 season as the team’s low scorer including a 38 and a 39 in nine-hole matches. “Daniel is a hard worker who works hard on his game even outside our team’s practices,” said Woodland golf coach Jonathan Cannon. “He strives to improve every day both on the course and in the classroom.” The son of Brad and Christine Nycum, Daniel is an A/B student with plans to play golf in college. He has been playing golf for six years with his dad as his primary coach.
