Canes win five team meet at Darlington; Lady Canes place second

The Cartersville boys team finished first and the Lady Canes were second in a five-team track and field meet Thursday hosted by Darlington High School in Rome. The Canes scored 187 points and finished ahead of Cedartown (164), Darlington (125), Pepperell (98) and Model (37). The Darlington girls narrowly outscored Cartersville 159-157 with Cedartown third (130), Pepperell fourth (74), and Model fifth (73).
