Vermaas scores four goals in Cass win

The Cass girls soccer team traveled to Hiram Friday night and evened their overall season record with a 4-0 blanking of the Lady Hornets. Logan Vermaas (photo) scored all four Cass goals with Briana Ochoa assisting twice and Leidi Toribio and Maddie Shook also contributing assists on goals. Jailyn Padilla and Yecenia Hernandez split time at goalkeeper and shared the Lady Colonels’ first shutout of the season.

Cass (4-4-1, 2-3 Region 7-AAAAA) hosts Villa Rica next Friday at 6 p.m.
