Cartersville captures 2018-19 Bartow County Swim Championships
The Cartersville High School swim team won the 2018-19 Bartow County Championship Meet Saturday at the Adairsville High School swim center by finishing almost 200 points ahead of second place Adairsville. The Hurricanes finished with 322 combined team points, Adairsville had 224, Cass was third with 158, and Woodland was fourth with 90 points. Cartersville took both gender titles as well.
The Cartersville girls led the way with 173 points. Adairsville was second in girls’ events at 156. The Woodland girls were third with 66 points and the Cass girls totaled 54.
On the boys side, Cartersville finished with 149 points. Cass was second at 104 with Adairsville and Woodland rounding out the field with 68 and 24 points, respectively. High scoring female and male swimmers were also recognized.

Grayson Breedlove and Giulia Vidoli of Cartersville tied for most points earned by any of the girls competitors. The Hurricanes’ Bryson Rogers was top individual scorer among the boys’ teams.
