Local recreation youth football capsules for September 29

September 29


12U at Cunningham Stadium, Grassdale Road, Old Cass HS


CARTERSVILLE WHITE CANES 26, BARTOW BUCS 20

WHITE: Brodie McWhorter accounted for four touchdowns with scoring runs of 6- and 3-yards plus touchdown passes of 40-yards to Talan Nix and 43-yards to Logan Shrewsbury. Jor-el Hamilton made four tackles on defense. BUCS: Jamious Kinnemore rushed for 238 yards and had scoring runs of 95-, 72-, and 58-yards. He also made 11 tackles on defense. Cadyn Wade was credited with five tackles.


CARTERSVILLE GOLD CANES 20, BARTOW TIGERS 0

GOLD: Baylon Long scored on a 74-yard touchdown run. Xavier Parker had a four-yard scoring run, and James Echols scored on a 40-yard run. Nicholas Hruby led the defense with six tackles.

TIGERS: Adrian Harris, Jr. finished with 59 rushing yards. Harris and Thomas Ayotte had two tackles each.



North Georgia Youth Football League


DALTON 12, BARTOW 9U 6

BARTOW: Jovani Bautista-Jackson rushed for 68 yards and had an eight-yard touchdown run.

Jakez Baldwin and Lance Tippett, Jr. made three tackles each. Baldwin and Jeremy Dent, Jr. both recovered fumbles. Dalton improved to 4-0 in the NGYFL. Bartow was the first team to score on Dalton this season and suffered its first loss slipping to 4-1. Bartow has a bye week before traveling to Ringgold on Saturday, October 13 at 1 p.m.


SUMMERVILLE 12, BARTOW 12U 7

BARTOW: Jamarian Pullum had four tackles and scored a touchdown on a 95-yard fumble return. Kamaron Profit had seven tackles. Summerville improved to a 4-1 season mark. Bartow (3-2) plays next on Saturday, October 13 at Ridgeland at 1 p.m.
