Howard a September call-up for the Rockies
Sam Howard, who wrapped up the Triple-A regular season with Albuquerque Monday, was recalled to the MLB Colorado Rockies Tuesday according to Kyle Newman of The Denver Post.
Howard, a fifth-year pro, will join the Rockies’ roster for the third time this season. He made his major league debut June 10 at Coors Field with one scoreless inning against Arizona.
The Cartersville southpaw, compiled a 5.06 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and 80:34 strikeout-to-walk ration across 96 innings at the Triple-A level.
Howard will add some depth to the Colorado bullpen in the final month of the regular season.
