Cass volleyball finishes 1-2 at Coosa Invitational
The Cass High School volleyball team played three matches Saturday at the Coosa Invitational.
The Lady Colonels picked up a win in one of those matches, beating Unity by scores of 25-22 and 25-16.
Cass dropped their other two matches against defending AA state champion Coosa. The host Eagles won 25-13, 25-7 in the first match of the day and 25-8 and 25-10 to end the Colonels' tournament.
Cass head coach Alan Potter credited Alexis Ware, Madison Philpott and Keegan Krause as standouts from the day, but noted the well-rounded team play of Coosa.
Cass will travel to Rome on Tuesday in a tri-match with the Wolves and Chattooga.
