SEBL Metro Conference A-League Recap for 7-26-2018:
Baseline-1 99 Shaw Industries 64 In the lone SEBL A-League game on Thursday evening, Baseline-1 took advantage of a leg-weary Shaw Industries team, who was playing their third game in four days. After falling down 18-9 early, Shaw made a run on two treys and bucket by Malik Rush, followed by a fade-away from the baseline from Kevin Hammett, to take a 19-18 lead. It would be Shaw’s only lead of the game, as Baseline-1 kicked into gear to build a 41-26 lead by the intermission, fueled by Ryan Davis’ scoring antics. Baseline’s AJ Mosby, went on a roll in the second half, while Shaw was too drained to keep pace. Hammett led Shaw Industries (2-4) with 20 points, while Rush had 17 and Randy McClure 16. For Baseline-1, now 6-0, Davis had 39 and Mosby 30. Baseline-1 shot a combined 55.8% from the field on 38/68 shooting. Mosby downed 28 of this total point production in the second half alone. Baseline-1 connected on a combined 19 threes in the contest.
