GHSA releases baseball state finals sites, game times

While the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes prepare for their state semifinal best-of-three series with Heritage-Catoosa, the Georgia High School Association has announced the sites for each classification and the schedule for the teams making it to their respective state finals.

The state championships will be played at four sites -- Mercer's OrthoGeorgia Park, Savannah's Grayson Stadium, Rome's State Mutual Stadium (photo) and the University of Georgia's Foley Field.

The state championships will be played May 21-23 and are best-of-three series.

Class 2A and 1A Public will hold its championships at Grayson Stadium.

Class 4A and 6A will be played at State Mutual Stadium.

Class 3A and 1A Private will be played at Mercer.

Class 5A and 7A will be played at Foley Field in Athens.

Game times at all four sites are 5:00 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. (All "if" games played May 23 - times TBA)

At State Mutual Stadium (Rome) DH May 21 - Class 4A DH May 22 - Class 6A

At Mercer (Macon) DH May 21 - Class 3A DH May 22 - Class 1A Private

At Foley Field (UGA) DH May 21 - Class 5A DH May 22 - Class 7A
