The Cartersville boys soccer team won the Region 5-AAAA championship Thursday evening with a 5-1 victory over visiting LaGrange at Weinman Stadium.

The Canes went unbeaten in region play and will enter the Class AAAA state tournament next week as a No. 1 seed.
Jair Ramos, Pedro Ghanem (two goals, two assists), and Leo Sanchez scored for Cartersville Grant Farmer added a pair of assists.
