Cartersville results from Region 5-AAAA Track & Field Championships

The Cartersville High School track and field teams wrapped up the 2018 Region 5-AAAA Championship Meet Thursday at Central-Carroll High School with the Lady Canes placing sixth and the Canes seventh.

Chapel Hill won the girls region championship with 223 points. They were followed by LaGrange (128) and Sandy Creek (75.50).

The boys title was also claimed by Chapel Hill with 172 points. Sandy Creek (149.33) was second and Cedartown (97.33) finished third.
