Canes track and field sixth, Lady Canes seventh at Rome Invitational
The Cartersville boys track and field team placed sixth and the Lady Canes placed seventh Saturday at the Rome Invitational at Barron Stadium.
The eleven school event was won by the Rome boys with 165 points, followed by Hillgrove (136) and Alcovy (76.5). Cartersville scored 44 points.
Hillgrove won the girls championship with 227.5 points. Rome (105.5) was second with Alcovy (65) third. Cartersville scored 29 points.
