Canes bounce back with win over North Cobb Christian
The Cartersville boys bounced back from their first loss of the year with a 77-64 win Thursday night over Class A-Private 8th-ranked North Cobb Christian, 77-64, in a consolation round game at the Lake City Classic at Allatoona High School.
Cartersville lost for the first time this season Wednesday night in the tournament's opening round. The Hurricanes fell to tournament host Allatoona.
The Class AAAA 5th-ranked Canes led North Cobb Christian 17-14 after one quarter, 39-31 at the intermission, and 54-46 through three quarters.
Isaac Gridley led four Cartersville players in double digits with 16 points. JKobe Orr posted 15. Perignon Dyer and T.J. Horton added 14 points each. Jaylon Pugh scored seven, Marko Dudley six, and Luke Schiltz five for the Hurricanes.
Myson Lowe led North Cobb Christian (6-4) with 15 points. Hunter Norman scored 14 and Myles Hamilton 13.
Cartersville (7-1) plays Millbrook (Raleigh, NC) (5-6) in the next consolation round Friday night at 8:30 p.m.
