Lady Canes win Region 5-AAAA cross country title; Canes also earn state meet berth

The Cartersville girls cross country team won the Region 5-AAAA championship for the second consecutive year and the Cartersville boys were fourth Thursday at Clinton Farms in Douglas County.

Both teams will advance to the Class AAAA State Championship in Carrollton November 3-4.
