Cartersville volleyball to host Heritage-Catoosa Tuesday in Class AAAA second round

The Cartersville High School volleyball team will host the second round of the Class AAAA state playoffs Tuesday night at the Storm Center with a 5 p.m. match against Heritage-Catoosa.

The 9th-ranked Lady Canes defeated Chestatee last week in straight sets at home to reach the Round of 16. Hertiage-Catoosa defeated Jefferson in a four-set match in the first round in Ringgold.

Tuesday's winner advances to the third round where all eight teams will be reseeded for the remainder of the playoffs. The higher seed will host in the third and fourth rounds. The state finals will be hosted by Marietta High School October 28.
