Cass volleyball splits final regular season tri-match, opens region tourney Thursday

Cass volleyball wrapped up the regular season Tuesday night at Rome High School by splitting a pair of Region 7-AAAAA matches with Kell and Paulding County.

The Lady Colonels extended their match with Kell to three sets by winning the second set, 25-20, but the Lady Longhorns took the first set and the final set 25-13 and 25-16.

Against Paulding County, Cass won in straight sets 25-6 and 25-10.

Cass (21-14, 3-5) opens post-season play Thursday in the region tournament at Kell High School. The Lady Colonels’ opponent was not determined at the time of this release.

Cass coach Chelsea Morris said the region tournament bracket would be made available during the day on Wednesday.
