Adairsville softball falls at third-ranked Calhoun
Adairsville High School softball lost a region 6-AAA game at third-ranked Calhoun Thursday 10-2.
Calhoun pitcher Blair Hall limited Adairsville to a pair of runs on four hits, no walks, and she struck out five.
Adairsville’s two runs came off the long ball. Loren Harris and Sadye Johnson both hit solo shots for the Lady Tigers.
Calhoun went up 5-0 through three innings prior to the two Adairsville homers in the fourth. The Lady Jackets then added five more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
In addition to the two home runs. Johnson and Sierra Tanner (double) added one more hit each for Adairsville.
Calhoun improved to 16-6 overall and 9-4 in region play. The Lady Jackets also remained unbeaten at home.
Adairsville finished the season 10-10 overall and 4-10 in Region 6-AAA.
