Cass volleyball sweeps to non-region road wins

The Cass volleyball team picked up a pair of non-region, straight set wins Thursday night at Pepperell defeating the host Lady Dragons and Paulding County.

The match with Paulding County was not part of the regular season region schedule although the two teams are in the same region.

The Lady Colonels topped Pepperell 25-15 and 25-21. Cass then defeated Paulding County 25-11 and 25-13.

“We started using a new rotation tonight,” said Cass coach Chelsea Morris. “It made a huge positive impact on our defense.”

Cass (17-12 overall, 1-3 in region) plays Region 7-AAAAA opponents Woodland and Villa Rica at Woodland High School next Tuesday with the competition beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Lady Colonels also play a non-reigon match at Adairsville next Thursday.
