Adairsville boys 8th at Ridge Ferry cross country meet
The Cass and Adairsville cross country teams along with the Woodland junior varsity teams competed Saturday at the 25th annual Ridge Ferry Invitational in Rome.
The Etowah girls and boys teams took the team titles. Twenty-two girls teams were in the meet along with twenty-eight boys squads. There were 184 girls runners and 217 individual boys runners.
Rome, River Ridge, Northwest Whitfield and Gordon Lee rounded out the top five teams in the girls’ race. River Ridge, Calhoun, Wheeler, and Kennesaw Mountain took spots two through five in the boys’ team standings. The Adairsville boys placed eighth.
Gracie O’Neal of Gordon Lee (18:19.92) won the girls’ individual race. Jesse Martinez of Murray County won the boys’ individual race with a time of 15:46.15.
