Clemson bound, Lawrence makes it official

Cartersville High School quarterback Trevor Lawrence made it official Wednesday night by signing his Financial Aid Agreement with Clemson University. The official signing finalizes what had been a verbal commitment and confirms the nation's top 2018 senior and pro-style QB will be a Clemson Tiger.

Lawrence (6-5, 200) verbally committed to Clemson last December.

Lawrence's career stats per MaxPreps.com include 10,601 yards and 120 TD passes with a QB rating of 124.

As a junior in 2016, Lawrence threw for 3,904 yards and 51 touchdowns as he led his team to its second straight Class 4A state title. The Hurricanes have a 40-1 record with Lawrence taking snaps.

Lawrence will enroll early in January.
